Overstable Or Understandable
You can categorize discs into three categories: overly unstable, comprehensible, or neutral (fully stable). This word describes the direction in which your disc will spin. A spherical disc that is stable will travel in a straight line. With your right hand, an overstable disc will move to the left while an understable disc moves to the right in the air if you are right handed.
A disc's level of stability is an important consideration when making a decision on whether or not to use it in your game.
The Fade Of The Disc
If your disc has a Fade of -1, then it's going to hook at the very end of its flight. It is common knowledge that the Fade level of a golf disc ranges from 0 to 5. Zero rating indicates an unobstructed flight path.
There will be a spectacular hook near the end of the disc's flight that has a 5 rating.
It's ideal to have a Fade rating of 0, but sometimes you'll need a strong hook 5 to get you out of a tight spot.
The Turn Of The Disc
The Turn can be thought of as the polar opposite of a fade. End of flight, you can see how much the Fade has hooked you. At the beginning of its flight, the Turn shows you how much it hooks.
The amount that the disc rotates to the right is also used to calculate turns. A +1 Turn indicates that your disc is more resistant to the Turn's effects. A -5 indicates that your disc is unable to control Turn. Turning the disc is a common habit for new players.
Color of Discs in Set
Although it may seem counterintuitive, the color of a golf disc can have an enormous impact on your ability as a disc thrower. These discs are available in a wide range of colors.

Disc Golf Weights in Starter Sets
There isn't a suitable weight for the golf disc in every situation. Disc golf discs are available in a wide range of weights, especially when purchased in bulk.
Despite the fact that most golf discs weigh between 165 and 174 grams, the weight might vary depending on the manufacturer and the player's preferences. A golf disc's total weight is determined by its diameter, which is governed by the Professional Disk Golf Association.
